Liverpool Refugee and Migrant Interagency (LRMI)
The Liverpool Migrant Interagency (LMI) is a network of service providers who work with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities (CALD) in the Liverpool Local Government Area.
The interagency aims to:
- Raise awareness of the needs of local CALD communities
- Provide information and support to local service providers
- Lobby and advocate on issues that impact on CALD communities within the Liverpool LGA
- Respond to policy issues that impact Liverpool’s CALD communities
- Facilitate and encourage partnerships between LRMI members
- Share information related to CALD issues and service delivery
The LRMI is supported by a convenors group comprising of service providers working with CALD communities. The LRMI meets on a 6-weekly basis and the convenors group supports it by:
- Meeting room booking
- Agenda preparation and minute taking
- Promoting the interagency meeting
- Facilitate interagency meetings and planning sessions
- Follow up on actions and guide implementing strategies within the action plan
