Liverpool Refugee and Migrant Interagency (LRMI)

The Liverpool Migrant Interagency (LMI) is a network of service providers who work with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities (CALD) in the Liverpool Local Government Area.

The interagency aims to:

  • Raise awareness of the needs of local CALD communities
  • Provide information and support to local service providers
  • Lobby and advocate on issues that impact on CALD communities within the Liverpool LGA
  • Respond to policy issues that impact Liverpool’s CALD communities
  • Facilitate and encourage partnerships between LRMI members
  • Share information related to CALD issues and service delivery

The LRMI is supported by a convenors group comprising of service providers working with CALD communities. The LRMI meets on a 6-weekly basis and the convenors group supports it by:

  • Meeting room booking
  • Agenda preparation and minute taking
  • Promoting the interagency meeting
  • Facilitate interagency meetings and planning sessions
  • Follow up on actions and guide implementing strategies within the action plan
