Community Proposal Pilot (CPP)

Changes to the Community Proposal Pilot

The Community Proposal Pilot (CPP) was a program in partnership with the Department of Immigration and Citizenship.

As you may be aware, Liverpool MRC has been working with the community to lodge applications under the CPP in its role as an Approved Proposing Organisation (APO) for the last 4 years, between 2013-2017.

Department of Immigration and Border Protection has advised us that they will no longer accept further applications under the CPP program. Applications that have been lodged but not yet finalised will continue to be processed under the conditions of the CPP program. We will continue to work with families who have existing applications, and local families with information when it is available and with processing when required, and continue to provide support and assistance to newly arrived families under the CPP.

From 1 July 2017 a new program will commence, the Community Support Program (CSP) and details are available on theDepartment of Immigration’s website.

We will advise if any further changes are made. If you have any questions please email us on cpp@lmrc.org.au
